This isn’t the full review, that’s coming yet, this is just some brief reactions to my ATLX experience this year.
SOME OF THE BEST SOCIAL DANCING I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN A VERY LONG TIME
I wasn’t the biggest fan of the burlesque routine at Saturday’s Late Night. I thought it started out well, very fun, very funny, and superbly clever; but they jumped the shark when the pink panther music came on. I thought that part was unnecessary and actually contextually inappropriate. In a cabaret or even vintage dance/music review, maybe.
DJ’s: so very good. Loved the Hokey Pokey by Moose.
I figured out with Reuel that I probably danced in the neighborhood of 100 – 120 songs (or 20%) of the weekend. Far more than I normally will, even at an exchange… that means the DJs were very good.
